Key Achievements 2022-2026

  • Ensured that 500 new homes on the Waterfront will be for first-time buyers

  • Established the Violence Against Women and Girls Taskforce

  • Negotiated a scheme to increase the number of French day travellers 

  • Introduced a new three-year work permit to support hospitality 

  • Delivered the Building a Safer Community Framework 

  • Secured additional funding for the Ambulance, Fire, and Immigration Services 

  • Fast-tracked delivery of the West of Island Planning Framework 

  • Kick-started efforts to regenerate Les Quennevais Precinct  

  • Began work to reduce the number of empty commercial properties

  • Developed proposals to strengthen the parish system

Key Priorities 2026-2030

  • Reinstate the full grant to the Social Security Fund and replenish the Stabilisation Fund 

  • Control public spending, eliminate wasteful projects, and live within our means 

  • Support islanders with the cost of living and access to first-time buyer housing 

  • Boost economic competitiveness, support traditional industries, and reduce bureaucracy

  • Enhance support for people living with disabilities, their families, and carers  

  • Improve community safety and support for victims of crime

  • Implement a sustainable funding mechanism for charities

  • Improve educational opportunities at all stages of life

  • Promote Jersey’s identity, language, history and traditions 

  • Introduce new legislation on resilience and emergency planning, fireworks, and firearms
